The Baroque era witnessed the popularity of the one-keyed flute as it rose from regional obscurity to international prominence amongst middle class and noble gentlemen throughout Western Europe between 1700 and 1760. This instrument was played by professionals and amateurs, by kings and blacksmiths, it represents the heart of the social climbers and the soul of the nobility. We welcome you to join us in celebrating music from the Baroque era.
